CableTool is a cable tester for all types of copper

cable, including network cables, antenna cables

and even conventional power cables. Its built-in,

full-featured time-domain reflectometer (TDR) measures

the cable length and the distance to faults such as

breaks or shorts. Its voltmeter function allows you to

identify cables that are already on-line. The handset

can be connected to power cables at up to 250 V to

measure voltage. The CableTool also provides a

built-in cable-trace function: it emits a signal into

the cable that can be detected using the optional

CableTracker Probe to locate and trace the cable’s

routing through ducts and inside walls.
